2026 Midwest Aikido Bridge Seminar (In Person & Live Streamed)
Chicago Aikikai enthusiastically welcomes back Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan (7th dan, Boulder Aikikai) for his annual three-day seminar in the Windy City, September 15 – 17, 2023. Aikido Shimbokukai reports there was a great turnout at the on Sunday, July 30. 60 people attended in-person along with 15 via Zoom. Thank you to all of the organizers, instructors and participants who helped to make it a success. Photos viewable at the Aikido Shimbokukai Facebook page.
It was previously announced that Qin Zheng Coe would be teaching at the Future leaders Seminar Series Midwest. We just received this update from the seminar’s sponsor, Aikido Shimbokukai.

Chicago Aikikai member Qin Zheng Coe (2nd dan) will be one of the featured instructors at Future Leaders Seminar Series- Midwest sponsored by Aikido Shimbokukai. The seminar will feature four instructors from a variety of lineages and affiliations, each teaching one class. In addition to Qin Zheng Coe, the instructors are:
Michael Lynch Sensei, 2 Dan, Kenosha Aikikai, United States Aikido Federation
Al Sindaravicius Sensei, 3 Dan, Great Lakes Aikido, Aikido Shimbokukai
Gracia Watson Sensei, 2 Dan, Prairie Aikikai, Aikido Shimbokukai
The seminar will be held July 30, 2023, 9:30 am-1:30 pm (CST) at Great Lakes Aikido, 150 Fairway Drive, Suite 156, Vernon Hills, IL and also be live streamed.
