The Chicago Aikikai would like to say happy birthday to Mitsugi Saotome, Shihan (master instructor) and founder of its parent organization, Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU).
Born on March 7, 1937, Saotome Shihan is one of the oldest living students of the founder of aikido, Morihei Ueshiba Sensei.
