OTHER INSTRUCTORS

Joe Takehara Sensei holds the rank of Aikido 6th dan. Takehara sensei, who has a background in gymnastics, is an original member of the dojo, starting his Aikido training in 1961. He continues to teach class twice a week.

Marsha Turner Sensei, 4th dan, began studying Aikido at Chicago Aikikai more than 17 years ago. A former ballet dancer and fencer, Turner sensei is known for her precision and skill with weapons.

Harvey Brunner Sensei, 3rd dan, has been training at Chicago Aikido for more than 10 years. He regularly teaches the early morning classes at the dojo.

Yuki Hara Sensei, an Aikido 6th dan, has been a member of Chicago Aikikai for more than 30 years. She began studying Aikido after her children had grown.
