AIKIDO FOR KIDS

Chicago Aikikai offers children's classes in ongoing 12-week sessions. Classes for students ages 7 to 12 are held on Saturdays from 11:30 am - 12:15 pm. Classes for 4- to 6-year-olds involve parental participation and take place on Saturdays from 12:30pm - 1:15 pm. Both head instructor Ferdie Bercasio and assistant children's class instructor, Andy Vitale, hold black belts in Aikido. Interested students and their parents are encouraged to visit the dojo, observe a children's class, and meet the children's class instructors.

AIKIDO FOR TEENS

Teenage Students (ages 13 to 17) may practice in any adult class but are encouraged to take advantage of our after-school classes at 4pm. A teen membership allows the student to take as many classes as he or she wishes. We recommend that each student develop a training schedule of at least three classes per week. Interested students and their parents are encourage to visit the dojo and observe a class or two.
